About
A TV channel made of 4chan threads
4chan TV takes a 4chan thread and plays every video in it, one after another, full screen. No clicking file by file, no new tabs: pick a board, pick a thread, lean back.
How it works
The app reads 4chan's public, read-only JSON API to learn which files a thread holds, then plays them straight from 4chan's own servers. It never re-hosts a file. Threads are refreshed at most every ten seconds and the whole app stays under one request per second, as 4chan's API rules ask.
- Thread or mix. Watch one thread, or mix the top 5 to 20 threads of a board so clips from several threads take turns.
- Loops that make sense. Short clips play twice by default (you choose 1×, 2× or 3×); long ones play once; then the channel moves on.
- Images and text too. Switch them on in Settings and discussion threads become readable slides with reading time.
- Live. Optionally re-check the thread every 30 seconds and append new posts.
- Keep what you like. Save a clip inside the app (it stays in your browser's storage on that device, never in your gallery), heart it, or comment.
- Phone or desktop. It's a web app; add it to your home screen to open it full screen.
What it is not
It is not 4chan and it is not made by 4chan. You cannot post to 4chan from here. Hearts, comments and nicknames exist only on this site. Adult boards are hidden unless you switch them on and confirm you are 18 or older; the public pages of this site only list work-safe boards.
Privacy, briefly
There are no accounts. Each device gets a random identity in a cookie so your hearts and comments stay yours; clearing site data resets it. Settings and saved videos live in your browser. The server keeps hearts, comments, nicknames and a hashed IP for abuse control, and nothing else about you.
